Of particular note is manganese, which is essential for bone formation and the metabolic conversion of carbohydrates, proteins and cholesterol. Arginine is an important amino acid needed for the proper functioning of the pancreas, the organ responsible for producing insulin to regulate blood glucose (sugar) levels.
